New Rivers Press publication ‘Trace’ by Melanie Figg received a Starred Review in Kirkus. ‘Trace’ was edited and designed by Integrated English and Publishing majors and students in the English, Mass Communications, and Graphic Communications departments.
New Rivers Press publication ‘throughsmoke: an essay in notes’ by Jehanne Dubrow has been selected as a finalist for the 2019 Big Other Book Award for Nonfiction. The winner will be announced on May 16. ‘throughsmoke’ was edited and designed by MSUM students in the Publishing program and in the English, Mass Communications, and Graphic Communications departments.

Professor Zepper, English Department, visited Wyndmere Schools in Wyndmere, North Dakota on January 21st. Zepper instructed 7th through 12th grade students in poetry writing as a part of the North Dakota Poetry Out Loud Initiative (North Dakota Humanities Council).
