Ten long-time members of the MSU Moorhead faculty are retiring this spring: Solveig Bartz, Elementary Education; Louis De Maio, Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences; Mark Hansel, Sociology; Judy Johnson, Early Education Center; George Sanderson, Accounting; Mary Schroeder, Social Work; Cliff Schuette, Counseling & Career Services; SuEllen Shaw, English; Marie Swanson, Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences; and Walter Worman, Physics;
The Lake Region Arts Council has awarded a $5,000 McKnight Fellowship to Thom Tammaro, an MSUM professor of English.
“Dragons After Dark” has been selected to receive a 2008-2009 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Academic and Student Affairs award for Innovative Student Affairs Program.
Liz Kappel was awarded the Carolyn Schwenke DeLorme Professional Growth Scholarship for School Counseling. Kappel is in her first year in the School Counseling program and plans to work with administration to support existing and new programs desired in the school system to encourage development of the student as a whole.
