Visiting artist Jonathan Twingley presents “Words and Pictures” Oct. 28

New York artist and author of “The Badlands Saloon” Jonathan Twingley will be a visiting artist-in-residence at Minnesota State University Moorhead Oct. 28 and 29. As part of his campus visit, he will deliver a free public lecture on “Words and Pictures” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 in the Center for Business room 109. Recent death

Professor Emeritus Otto Ursin, age 90, died Wed., Oct. 21, 2009, in Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND. Otto spent his teaching career (Technology) at MSUM until his retirement in 1982. A Memorial Service was held on Oct. 27. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or Trinity Lutheran Church-Building for Mission Fund.

U of M Moorhead?

I never realized how many graduates of the college formerly known as Moorhead State University there are in southeastern Minnesota. I think I heard from every single one of them after they read my Tuesday column about my recent visit to Fargo-Moorhead. Several of them e-mailed to point out an error.
