MSUM targets Twins Cities community colleges

Local university offers four bachelor’s degree programs at schools in the population center.

An explosion in community college enrollment in the Twin Cities promises to bolster numbers for Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Jessica Endres, one of three MSUM Admissions counselors in the Twin Cities, said MSUM’s growing presence in the population center is bringing attention to Moorhead.

MSUM to offer Swedish course

Minnesota State University Moorhead will offer a Swedish language and culture course this fall for the first time in about 20 years. The course, taught by MSUM professor emeritus James Kaplan, will be open to MSUM students and community members.Kaplan, who retired in 2008 from MSUM as a French professor, lived and worked in Sweden and founded the Swedish Cultural Heritage Society of the Red River Valley.
