Two cover designs for New Rivers Press have been selected as winners in the 2010 American Inhouse Design Awards by Graphic Design USA. From more than 4,000 entries only a selective 15% were recognized with Awards Certificate of Excellence. Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics Honors Society, inducted four new MSUM members on in a ceremony including all of the Tri-College Physics Departments on April 22. The inducted students, chosen based on academic excellence and service to the community, were seniors Heather Cegla, Fenner Colson and Kristin Rosenau, and sophomore Murshid Saqlain.

Ann Geiszler, stepmother of Raney Geiszler, MSUM Central Service Administrative Specialist of Mail Services, passed away at the age of 83 on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 12, from 4-7 p.m. at the Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead.
