Communication Studies Research Published

Dr. Theresa Hest, Communication Studies, is co-author of “Weather-Talk, Cynicism and Agriculture” in the current issue of Qualitative Research Reports in Communication. This study explores how farmers talk about nature by discussing the results of ethnographic interviews conducted with farmers. Dr. Tim Borchers, Interim Dean of Arts and Humanities, is the co-author of another article in the same publication, “Communities of Cornhuskers: The Generation of Place through Sports Fans’ Rituals.” Click headline to read more.

MSUM Art & Design Grad Named Artist in Residence

The North Dakota Council on the Arts announces five (5) new Artist in Residence rostered artists including Jescia Hoffman of Mandan, North Dakota. Hoffman is a recent graduate of the MSUM Department of Art & Design. Artists represented on the Artist-in-Residence Roster have successfully undergone a peer panel review process that evaluates their artistic and instructional abilities as they relate to artists working in a school residency program.
