The Straw Hat Players will be presenting The Music Man through Friday, July 30 in the Hansen Theatre at 7:30 p.m. The Music Man is a rated G musical about a traveling con-man salesman, Professor Harold Hill, who stops in River City, Iowa, to convince the town that they desperately need a boy’s marching band. Ruth Legg, wife of MSUM emeriti mathematics professor Milt Legg, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Milt was the chair of the mathematics department for many years (until 1993) and retired from MSUM in 1996. He and Ruth lived on Lake Vermillion, and most recently, Duluth. A service is planned for Saturday, July 31 in Virginia, Minn.

MSU Moorhead has joined with other Fargo-Moorhead organizations to help support the 12th Annual Community School Supply Drive & Distribution, sponsored by the United Way of Cass-Clay. This MSUM school supply drive will run from Thursday, July 15 through Friday, August 6 at 4:00 p.m., with distribution to children beginning on Saturday, August 14th. Click headline to learn more.
