MSUM Kodaly Program gains national endorsement

The MSUM Kodaly program, offered by the Music Department, received national endorsement from the Organization of American Kodaly Educators. The endorsement was announced at the organization’s national convention in Dallas, last week. MSUM is one of only 25 programs in the country to have the endorsement. Walseth, Malott & Borchers present at international convention

Teri Walseth, Dean of Education and Human Services, Michelle Malott, Dean of Social and Natural Sciences, and Tim Borchers, Interim Dean of Arts and Humanities, each presented papers at the Chair Academy International Convention last week in Bloomington. Hosted by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, the conference provided programs and keynote speakers that addressed the needs of leaders in higher education.

Krebs funeral March 24

Lorene Krebs, mother of Stacy Voeller, Electronic Resources Librarian, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010, at age 72, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 24, at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin, Minn.

Safe Zone training April 12

The Office of Multculturalism will hold a Safe Zone training Monday, April 12 from 9-11a.m. in CMU 227. Safe Zone seeks to form a network of students, faculty and staff committed and trained to provide safe, non-judgmental and supportive contacts for all MSUM community members who may be dealing with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or questioning issues.
