Michael Michlovic and George Holley, Anthropology and Earth Science, took four students to attend the 2013 Council for Minnesota Archaeology conference Feb. 8 and 9 at Inver Hills Community College. Holley presented a paper co-authored by Michlovic and Rinita Dalan on “Rexamining Plains Village Cultures in Minnesota.”
All students are encouraged to show their talent, creativity and research at the Student Academic Conference. Final application deadline is Thursday, Feb. 28.

MSUM will offer 11 Learning Communities for the 2013-2014 academic year. Learning Communities offer first-year students a chance to connect with other students through sharing living space and classes. In addition students are connected with faculty, and a Dragon Mentor, an undergraduate student who lives on their residence hall floor and offers academic guidance.
