Biosciences students’ research accepted for publication

Biosciences majors Emily Mammenga, Carissa Storseth and Noah Berglund have had their research accepted for publication in the international peer-reviewed journal Animal Behaviour. The title of their manuscript is “Odor-tracking by young convict cichlids and a mechanism for alloparental brood amalgamation.” The research was mentored by Brian Wisenden.

Economics student accepted to Applied Economics program at Illinois State University Urbana-Champaign, receives scholarship

Cody Brandt, Economics major, was accepted to the Master’s in Applied Economics program at Illinois State University Urbana-Champaign. Cody was offered a full scholarship and an assistantship worth well over $45,000. This is the fourth consecutive year Economics majors from MSU Moorhead have been accepted to this very prestigious master’s program.

Dalan and Geoarchaeology major conducted research at Poverty Point State Historic Site

Rinita Dalan, Anthropology and Earth Science, and Geoarchaeology major Rebecca Wallace traveled to the Poverty Point State Historic Site in Louisiana over Spring Break to conduct investigations into a new mound discovered at the site.
