This summer, the Comstock Reading Aloud Initiative, sponsored by Livingston Lord Library, donated nearly 450 picture books to school libraries and agencies. Doris Walker Dalhouse, Profesor Emerita, STL and A. Derick Dalhouse, Psychology, presented a paper in August at The 18th European Conference on Reading in Jonkoping, Sweden. The title of the paper was, “Reader response and instructional implications: using children’s books about immigrants/refugees with struggling readers.”
