Alum features Indigenous art as curator at Plains Art Museum

Bret Salter ’17 began advocating for Indigenous representation as an anthropology student at Moorhead. Today, Salter curates Indigenous art at the Plains Art Museum, fostering learning and connection for all who visit.

His path was shaped by hands-on opportunities and dedicated faculty mentorship that reached far beyond the classroom.

“Whatever class I took, or whatever idea I had next, professors showed interest in helping me succeed.”
