Nursing Program Honors Students, Faculty, Alumni at Annual Awards
The Minnesota State Moorhead School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership celebrated the outstanding achievements of its students, faculty, and community partners during the annual Nursing Awards Celebration held Friday, May 1, 2026. The event recognized individuals who have demonstrated exceptional clinical skill and a commitment to the highest standards of professional care.
Central to the ceremony was the presentation of the DAISY Awards, an international program that honors the extraordinary compassion and skillful care nurses provide every day.
The 2026 award recipients include:
- BSN Student DAISY Award: Courtney Althaus, Samantha Guetter, Rena Hopkins, and Paige Ombler
- RN-BSN Student DAISY Award: Ahn Doe
- MSN Student DAISY Award: Erin Nordstrom
- Faculty DAISY Award: Jill Holmstrom
- Essentia Health Student DAISY Honoree: Jessica Spooner
- Outstanding Alumni Award: Amy Vogt
- Friends of Nursing Award: Dr. Robert Nava, Dr. Lisa Nawrot, and Audrey Cloe Messner
The program also featured a recognition of the alumni preceptors and scholarship donors who provide critical support for the next generation of healthcare leaders.
