SOAR Registration Assistant Volunteers Needed
We are seeking registration assistant volunteers to help with SOAR 2026 (dates below) to support a smooth advising and registration process for our incoming students. Additionally, interaction between our new students and professional employees is a great way to provide a positive student experience and create a connection to MSUM. No prior experience with registration assistance is necessary, as training is provided the day prior to each set of SOAR days. Please consider volunteering by completing the form below.

Dates Needed:
June 9, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16 (training provided Monday, June 8)
and
July 16 and 17 (training provided Wednesday, July 15)
Please Note: Commitment to either month in full is preferable, if possible, for consistency in training and partnerships between academic chairs and assistants, but assistance on any SOAR dates is appreciated.
Details:
Monday, June 8 and Wednesday, July 15 – 12:30pm-2:30pm – Training in Library 113
Training will include registration room process overview, eServices navigation, college specific guidance from advising representatives, common barriers and frequently asked questions.
June 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, and 16 and July 16 and 17 – 12:30pm-4:00pm – SOAR
Day of event responsibilities include assisting new students and academic advisors with registration in assigned registration rooms.
