Title III mini grants return Fall 2026

We’re excited to share that Title III Mini Grants will return for Fall 2026 with $100,000 in available funding. Now is the perfect time to start thinking about ideas.

These mini grants are part of MSUM’s Title III grant funded by the Department of Education and are designed to help faculty and staff expand experiential learning, active learning, and career-connected experiences for students.

Funding Areas:

  • Professional Development: Build skills in experiential and active learning.
    • Note: Travel costs are not supported, but registration fees and online learning are eligible.
  • Project/Idea Funding: Support new or expanded initiatives that enhance student learning and career readiness—within or beyond the classroom.

Learn more and prepare. Visit the Title III Mini Grant Webpage.

Important Dates:

  • August 18th, 2026 – Application Open
  • September 25th, 2026 – Deadline
  • Awards disbursement: Estimated late-October 2026

Why start now?

The strongest proposals often come from ideas that have had time to develop. Summer is a great opportunity to reflect, sketch out concepts, or connect with collaborators.

If you already have something in mind, or just want to explore possibilities, feel free to reach out.
