Spiering named interim director of Diversity, Inclusion and Global Engagement
Dr. Kerri Spiering has accepted the role of interim director of the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Global Engagement, effective May 1.
Kerri joined Minnesota State Moorhead in 2025 as assistant director of graduate recruitment in the Office of Admissions. Prior to coming to MSUM, she had extensive experience in the field of international education, including serving as director of International Programs at North Dakota State University where she provided leadership to a large staff supporting students in the areas of study abroad, exchange programs, international student services, and campus-wide global programming. Kerri also served as NDSU’s associate vice president of Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach to oversee university-wide integration of international initiatives and manage international agreements with overseas partner and potential partner institutions.
As interim director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Global Engagement, Kerri will direct the staff and departmental activities to support international, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ students and provide opportunities for all students to study abroad and away.
