MSUM Foundation announces 10 Under 10 Award Winners

The Minnesota State Moorhead Foundation announces the recipients of its 10 Under 10 Award, which recognizes rising Dragon alumni who have graduated within the last decade and are making a remarkable impact in their early careers. These honorees stand out as up-and-coming leaders, innovators, and community builders, demonstrating significant achievements and dedication within their professions, organizations, and communities.

10 Under 10 Award Recipients

The 10 Under 10 Award celebrates these Dragons’ dedication, potential, and commitment to excellence, inspiring both the Minnesota State Moorhead community and the next generation of Dragons.

  • Executive director Justin Boldt ’19 (healthcare administration and management) directs Ecumen’s North Branch, overseeing healthcare operations such as assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing facilities. Under his guidance, Ecumen North Branch was recognized in 2024 as a recipient of the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living Bronze Commitment to Quality Award. Justin also serves on Moorhead’s community of interest board for the Health Services Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration programs, lending his expertise to support future healthcare leaders.   • Beau Cummings ’16 (gerontology) has built a career defined by public service, leadership, and a commitment to justice. Today, Beau serves as an assistant state’s attorney in the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office, focusing on the prosecution of major crimes while advocating for victims and the broader community. He also volunteers as a judge for the University of North Dakota School of Law’s Carrigan Cup and Moot Court competitions and serves as a staff counselor for American Legion Boys State.   • Gabe Dannenbring ’19 (health and physical education) is a 7th grade science teacher with Sioux Falls Public Schools and the content creator behind Dannenbring Productions. He balances life in the classroom with building a digital platform that reaches 1.6 million followers on TikTok alone. He’s also involved with Legacy Youth Leadership and participates in initiatives that support mental health. In 2023,he was on Netflix’s Surviving Paradise Cast. Read more about Gabe.
  • Colin Helfenstein ’20 (paralegal) is a managing partner at Aloha Cleaning, where his responsibilities include strategic planning, accounting, payroll, human resources, and operations. In addition, he works on general finances of projections, revenue growth, fundraising, and event planning as the finance director for the North Dakota Democratic Nonpartisan League.   • As former editor and photographer of Fargo Monthly, storyteller Geneva Nodland ’21 (multimedia journalism) had a front row seat toevery corner of the FMWF community. She has earned multiple American Advertising Federation of North Dakota ADDY Awards and serves as a board member and marcomm committee Chair for the North Dakota and North-Western Minnesota organization dedicated to promoting the wellbeing of advertising. She is digital creator with AdShark, where she strategizes and creates ad campaigns for a variety of clients and continues to build community by leading the company’s philanthropic and engagement efforts.   • Dana Salk ’17 (medical physics) is a senior machine learning operations engineer and chief information security officer at Clarity, where she secures personnel, physical and digital assets while developing innovative healthcare technology. Dana helped build Clarity Breast, the first FDA authorized AI platform that predicts one’s five-year breast cancer risk based on bilateral screening mammograms. Read more about Dana.
  • Former collegiate and professional basketball player Drew Sannes ’16 (business administration) and ’18 (MBA) is the director of strategic projects at Light Consulting. She leads strategic initiatives for the company, guides client strategy planning and contributes to development efforts. She was part of the founding board and is a key contributor to Faith Forward, equipping professionals to lead like Jesus. Read more about Drew.
  • Luke Steichen ’20 (film production) is head of production and co-owner of the video production company Chezy, where he hires, trains and manages the production teams in their Nashville and West Fargo locations. He is also responsible for business development, creating connections, and marketing Chezy’s services. As an award-winning video director, he has collaborated with clients ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to small Fargo-Moorhead businesses seeking to share their stories through video.   • Delia Touché ’20 (BFA in drawing) is an artist, curator, and educator whose work bridges museum leadership and creative practice, with a strong focus on Indigenous voices, collaborative methodologies and community accountability. Delia is the exhibit and interpretive programs manager at Wakaƞ Típi Awaƞyankapi, where they amplify underrepresented voices and foster dialogue through printmaking, book arts, and collaborative programming. Read more about Delia.
  • Shad Vedaa ’20 (business administration) is the owner of Vedaa Consulting, co-founded with his father in October 2025, which focuses on rural economic development and community-driven infrastructure projects. They primarily work with the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperative on a $12.6 million grant for strengthening rural grocery stores across North Dakota. Through this work, they’re forming a cooperative of rural grocers and developing a regional food distribution center in the former Dot’s Pretzels facility in Velva. He is also a defensive coordinator for Park Christian High School, where he mentors student-athletes on leadership, resilience, and teamwork to help them grow on and off the field.
