Commencement ceremonies scheduled for May 7 and 8
Minnesota State Moorhead’s Spring 2026 graduates will be celebrated at two commencement ceremonies in Nemzek Fieldhouse. The ceremony for graduate programs will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 7. The undergraduate ceremony is at 2 p.m. Friday, May 8. A reception will be held immediately following each ceremony in the Comstock Memorial Union.

INFORMATION FOR FACULTY:
Faculty will be seated on stage during both ceremonies. To ensure we have adequate seating, please RSVP HERE. Faculty should arrive one hour prior to the ceremony.
INFORMATION FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS:
Graduates should ensure they have completed all graduation and commencing steps:
- Direct graduation status questions to Assistant Registrar Shawn Soderberg, soderbrg@mnstate.edu or 218.477.2566.
- Direct graduate student questions to the Graduate Studies Office, graduate@mnstate.edu or 218.477.2134.
- Direct ceremony event questions to events@mnstate.edu.
Graduation regalia: Order your cap and gown online directly from Herff Jones before April 24 at https://colleges.herffjones.com/college/msum/. Honor cords and tassels are available at the Bookstore. The Bookstore will be open up until the ceremony start time on May 7 and May 8 for those unable to pick up their gown before their ceremony date. Questions about regalia? Custom social media graphics: Graduates can request a graphic to use on social media channels. Provide your name, degree earned and a photo by filling out the Social Media Graphics for Graduates form. You will need to be connected to an MSUM WiFi network or VPN Client to access the link above.
An email with more information about the ceremonies will be sent on Monday, May 4, to all graduates who have signed up to participate in commencement.
