Hope Blooms founder receives Dragon Impact Award

Ten years ago, Hope Blooms was just beginning to sprout, and it has since grown to serve tens of thousands of individuals every year with a simple goal: creating moments of mattering.

Kelly, her team, and thousands of volunteers re-purpose flowers to deliver bouquets to those going through difficult times. The flowers serve as a way to create connection and joy, and an opportunity to sit with people and learn their stories.

“People need to know that they matter,” Kelly says. “We want to inspire people to create small moments of mattering for others.”

Kelly Krenzel (’08) is one of the recipients of the MSUM Foundation’s 2026 Dragon Impact Award.
