Steadfast Wealth Advisor to be Honored with Distinguished Alumni Award
Sandy Korbel ’93 has been selected by the MSUM Foundation as a 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. Korbel, an accounting alumna, has built a decades long career on the principles of reliability and putting client interests ahead of personal pride.
She is also noted for her dedication to community service and philanthropy. In addition to managing a billion dollar portfolio as part of her role as a Senior Wealth Advisor for Alerus Financial, Korbel has volunteered her time and expertise to numerous boards and committees throughout the years. Korbel and her husband Brian have also established an endowed scholarship for Accounting students, citing the importance of empowering students with financial support.
Korbel will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award at the April 17 College of Business, Analytics & Communication Legacy Luncheon.
