Film graduate navigates storytelling in the age of AI
Kyle Odefey transformed a passion for filmmaking into a global career at Synthesia (London, U.K.), where he produces human-centered stories behind emerging AI technology.
His on campus and study abroad experiences at Minnesota State Moorhead helped him graduate with a strong portfolio, real-world skills, and the confidence to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry.
“AI is replicating what it sees. It’s not inventing new emotional experiences or understanding meaning the way humans do,” Kyle says. “Execution, storytelling and emotional connection still belong to people.”
