Fall 2026 Advising and Registration Information

Registration for the fall 2026 semester will begin Monday, March 16 at 9 a.m. Registration proceeds according to the number of semester hours an individual student has completed with grades. This includes MSUM and transfer courses. Students with more earned semester hours are allowed to register earlier than students with less earned semester hours.

The fall 2026 course schedule will be available on eServices Feb. 11.

ADVISING: Advising for fall will begin Tuesday, February 17. Helpful advising resources can be found on the Academic Success Center website.

HOLDS: Students should clear up any holds on their account as most holds prevent registration. Holds can be found on their eServices dashboard.

ACCESS CODES: Graduate students, non-degree seeking students, and students with previous degrees do NOT need an access code to register for courses.
Undergraduate students (including PSEO) are required to meet with their advisor to obtain their access code. The Registrar’s Office DOES NOT give out access codes.

REGISTRATION WINDOWS:
Registration for fall begins Monday, March 16 at 9 a.m..

Graduate students and students with previously earned degrees are eligible to register the first day and time registration begins (March 16 at 9am).

Currently enrolled or readmitted undergraduate students register in windows based on the number of semester hours of credit earned prior to the spring 2026 semester according to the schedule below.
Students will be able to view their registration window now on eServices

For a student to find their registration window, they will login to eServices, go to “courses and registration” and “registration window”. The date given will be the earliest date allowed to add or drop a course from their schedule.
When registering for courses, students only need to enter their access code ONCE. When the system prompts to enter a code after this it requires their Star ID password.

COURSE PLACEMENT FOR MATH AND ENGLISH: eServices has a tool to find out students Math and English placement. However, this tool is limited and does not give a comprehensive list that fits all majors at MSUM. We ask that students speak with their advisor before enrolling to be sure the course is the best for the student and their major.

SCHEDULE BUILDER: Schedule Builder is a great tool to help students plan their schedule for the semester!

METRO COLLEGE ALLIANCE (FORMERLY TRI-COLLEGE): Learn about the new Metro College Alliance (MCA) agreement, including policies and links to course schedules for MCA campuses.

SUMMER SESSION 2026 registration is currently open, and no access code is needed to register.
