In the 152 years since the first Impressionist Exhibit, tens of thousands of books and articles have been written. The one thing they all seem to agree on: “This Art is radically different.”
Minnesota State Moorhead School of Art senior Marc Windahl is giving a public presentation of his original thesis as part of the requirements for a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. This paper and presentation answers the question of why this art was so different and provides an explanation of how the artistic style was developed.
