The system office requested that all colleges and universities submit a short video highlighting what makes our institutions unique for a joint board and leadership council study session on Jan. 27. The focus is on “Long-term Financial Sustainability/Institutional Financial Indicators.“
Presidents were asked to share unique strengths others can’t claim, not generic attributes such as “we have great teaching” or “all our programs are strong.” In Moorhead’s video, President Downs talked about our:
- Institute of Applied Artificial Intelligence and being the Strategic Industry Partner in Applied AI for the State of Minnesota.
- Honors College opening in Fall 2026 to challenge a curious and ambitious community of scholars.
- Center for Engaged Learning, which brings experiential learning to life across campus and the community.
