Josh Clarke Named Finalist for National SVA Award

We are thrilled to share some exciting news regarding our very own Josh Clarke, veterans resource outreach director. Josh was recently recognized on the national stage as a finalist for the Student Veterans of America (SVA) Chapter Advisor of the Year!

The SVA Chapter Advisor of the Year award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in supporting military-connected students. Josh’s nomination highlights his dedication across several roles on campus, including serving as the Dragon Student Veteran Club Advisor and the Dragon SVA Chapter Advisor.

The winner was announced last week at the 18th Annual SVA National Conference (NatCon) in Colorado Springs. While Josh did not take home the top prize, being named a finalist among advisors from across the country is a massive achievement for both Josh and Minnesota State Moorhead.

Reflecting on the experience, Josh emphasized that his success is a reflection of the entire MSUM community:

“It’s an honor and very humbling to be nominated for this award, but this work doesn’t happen in a vacuum. I work with a passionate Veteran Success Team, amazing collaborative campus partners, and outstanding student leaders. This nomination wouldn’t be possible without them!”

We are incredibly proud of the work Josh and the Veteran Success Team do every day to support our Dragon veterans. Please join us in congratulating Josh on this well-deserved national recognition!

Go Dragons!
