Dr. Caitlin Johnson publishes in the Journal of Cases of Educational Leadership
Dr. Caitlin Johnson (Dr. J) from Leadership and Learning recently published an article with Sage Publishing and Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership. The article “Moving Beyond Lip Service: University Land Acknowledgment Statements and the Role of Leadership in Making Them Meaningful” was a collaboration with members of Minnesota State University Mankato. The authors applied Critical Race Theory as a framework. A criticism of University Land Acknowledgment statements have been that indigenous people as absent, authors call on readers to move past lip service to promote reflection to promote truth-telling and decolonization efforts.
