Scorch, your AI Dragon Wingmate, returns for spring semester
Scorch, the texting chatbot, will be sliding into your text messages again this semester.
Undergraduate students should look for a welcome message from Scorch on Monday, Jan. 12, followed by occasional check-in questions. To ensure you receive Scorch’s text messages, check the cell phone number we have on file in your Student Success Snapshot on your MyMSUM homepage. Email Scorch@mnstate.edu to update your cell phone number if it isn’t correct.
You can also text Scorch 24/7 with any questions you may have about the university. When you get a message from Scorch, save the number to your contacts. Reply to previous messages and begin chatting. Scorch will share helpful resources or connect you with a staff member who can assist you. In its first semester of use, undergraduate Dragons sent Scorch nearly 12,000 text messages!
