Film students meet acclaimed filmmaker

The Film Studies department recently took a field trip to the Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis to watch the work of internationally acclaimed filmmaker Jay Rosenblatt. The event, which took place Friday, Feb. 4, was part of the Walker’s “Filmmakers in Conversation” series. After several of Rosenblatt’s films were screened, the filmmaker took part in a 40 minute Q & A session where he discussed (among other things) his technique of using archival and discarded film footage to create his work. Participation in this event included professors Tony Adah and Tom Brandau, 10 current Film students and several recent Film Studies graduates.
