Supporting Students During the Government Shutdown
As the government shutdown continues, it’s important to remind students that several campus resources remain available to support their well-being and academic success. Please consider sharing the following services with students who may benefit:
Dragon Pantry
The Dragon Pantry provides free food and personal care items to any currently enrolled student experiencing food insecurity. It’s a confidential and welcoming resource available to you whenever needed.
Location: Flora Frick 154
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Dean of Students Intake Form
If they’re facing personal, academic, or financial challenges and aren’t sure where to begin, completing our intake form is a great first step. It helps us understand their situation and connect them with the right support.
To fill out the form, please click here.
Student Emergency Fund
If they’re experiencing an unexpected financial hardship that may impact their ability to remain enrolled, they may be eligible to apply for emergency funding.
To apply, they should follow this link and log in using their student email (typically StarID@go.minnstate.edu).
Swipe Out Hunger
During the Fall and Spring semesters, students can apply for the Swipe Out Hunger Program through a partnership with Campus Dining. Approved students receive 15 free meal swipes into Kise, the campus dining hall. Please Click Here to apply.
