
14 Psychology Students Attend the Northern Lights Psychology Conference
On Friday, October 24, fourteen undergraduate Psychology students attended the Northern Lights Psychology Conference at the University of North Dakota.
Four students from Dr. Jenna Laurin’s research lab presented at the conference: Kylie Nay and Magenta Thai, along with Dr. Laurin, presented a paper talk entitled “The Impact of Gestational Timing and Method on Enacted Abortion Stigma”; Olivia Naatjes and Mattie Scholten presented a poster on “Increasing the Visibility of Psychology’s “Hidden Figures” in Undergraduate Psychology Courses.”
All students attended various research presentations, a panel discussion on Intimate Partner Violence as a chronic health care problem, and a keynote address from Dr. Alexa Tullett about Promoting Scientific Skepticism in a Time of Science Denial.
