Dr. Wooyang Kim’s Research Accepted for Publication in Leading Journal

Dr. Wooyang Kim, Professor of Marketing at the Paseka School of Business (PSB), recently had a research paper placed in press for publication in the Journal of Intellectual Capital, one of the leading journals in the field of intellectual capital (H-index: 118, Scimago: Q1, ABDC: B).

The theory-driven empirical study, titled “Virtual Teamwork Coordination and Performance: Integrating the Metaverse and Situation-Organism-Behavior-Consequence (SOBC) Frameworks Through an Intellectual Capital Lens,” examines the effectiveness of human–machine interaction in virtual work environments. By integrating three theoretical foundations—the Metaverse, SOBC, and Intellectual Capital frameworks—this research offers new insights into how teams coordinate and perform in digitally enhanced workplaces.

Dr. Kim collaborated with international scholars, serving as the corresponding author to guide and finalize the study. The paper has been assigned a DOI (10.1108/JIC-02-2025-0029) and is currently in press, with online publication coming soon.

This publication is part of Dr. Kim’s strong scholarly contributions in 2025, which include seven articles in leading journals and six conference proceedings. Along with the other faculty achievements in the PSB, his contributions strengthen the school’s academic reputation and support PSB’s sustained AACSB accreditation. These collective outcomes will help enrich the learning experience by bringing cutting-edge research into the classroom and create opportunities for meaningful faculty–student research collaboration.
