Mid-week is busy with a variety of events scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 1 and 2, including a major gift announcement on Thursday at 11 a.m. in front of Lommen Hall. The gift will transform Moorhead’s teacher preparation program and will include the public unveiling of the Nibbe School of Teaching & Learning.

Wednesday, Oct. 1

• 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – A campus favorite, Pi Your Professor with the Math Club, on the campus mall. For just $3, you’ll get the chance to toss a whipped-cream pie right in the face of your favorite professor or staff member.
• Noon to 2 p.m. – Sample several chilis, vote for your favorite, and help determine who will be victorious in the Dean’s Chili Feed Competition on the campus mall. The competition is REAL!
• 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. – Alumni and friends are invited to the 21+ Dragon Homecoming Happy Hour at Swing Barrel Brewing, 814 Center Ave., Moorhead. No sneaking in for those under 21!

Thursday, Oct. 2

• 11 a.m. – In front of Lommen Hall, the MSUM Foundation will announce the largest gift in the university’s history, including the public unveiling of The Nibbe School of Teaching & Learning.
• 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. – Battleship H20 in the Nemzek Swimming Pool
