Dragons were loud and proud at StartupBREW
Dragons were loud and proud this morning at the weekly StartupBREW, a networking event for entrepreneurs and those who think like entrepreneurs. The university’s Pep Band fired up the audience to hear from two Dragon alumni.
Shannon Wiedman ’07 (graphic communications) shared her startup story and encouraged the audience to take advantage of the many resources available in the community to assist future entrepreneurs. She and her husband, Adam, own Starbird Lounge in Moorhead.
Across the street from Starbird Lounge is Swing Barrel Brewing Co. Sean Syverson ’03 (English literature & English education) shared his startup story and encouraged potential entrepreneurs to go forward without fear, because regret is greater than fear.
