Moorhead offers direct admission to Phi Theta Kappa students

Recognizing the educational talents of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) students, Minnesota State Moorhead now offers members of this honor society direct admission to the university.

Moorhead is the first school in Minnesota to offer direct admission to PTK students, meaning members do not need to complete an admissions application. Instead, they complete an online form and receive a transfer evaluation.

PTK, the oldest honor society in the United States, commends students at associate degree-granting colleges for outstanding academic achievement. Minnesota State Moorhead offers more than 40 transfer pathways for students with an associate’s degree to seamlessly pursue a bachelor’s degree at Moorhead, where they’ll benefit from supportive faculty, small class sizes and a welcoming campus community.

Every PTK member who transfers into an undergraduate program at Moorhead is eligible to receive a one-time scholarship of $500, based on enrolled credit status, in addition a merit scholarship.
