Dr. David Wolff presented at the 2025 Hormel Foundation Gifted and Talented Symposium
Dr. David Wolff, Assistant Professor of Elementary Inclusive Education in the School of Teaching and Learning presented at the annual Hormel Foundation Gifted and Talented Symposium on June 10, 11, and 12, 2025. Dr. Wolff presented two breakout sessions, each spanning three consecutive days, titled: Embracing Slow Science: Cultivating Deep Learning in Science Classrooms and From Surviving to Thriving: Addressing Trauma, Mental Health, and Behaviors in the Classroom. The first presentation applied principles of the Slow Movement to the elementary science classroom. The second presentation focused on defining trauma and explore its effects on brain development and learning as well as how educators might recognize student behaviors as manifestations of trauma and develop effective support strategies. https://gtsymposium.my.canva.site/
