Gallo, Maahs, and Mayer Present at UW Stout Conference

Jill Mayer (Teacher at the Early Education Center), Gail Maahs (retired Teacher from the Early Education Center), and Dr. Dawnita Gallo (STL) presented Teaching Through Transitions, How to Use Engagement Cues and Hook Techniques to Help Toddlers and Preschoolers Transition From one Activity to Another to a standing room only audience of early childhood educators, administrators, and family educators this past weekend at the 46th Annual Early Childhood Conference at the University of Wisconsin, Stout. Through this presentation early educators learned what a transition between activities is, what the research says about the importance of creating intentional and purposeful transition activities, and many specific strategies, hooks, and cues that providers could take back and use in their classroom with little or no preparation.
