Dragons Place at DECA International Competition

24 Dragons competed with over 1,300 other students at the Collegiate DECA International Career Development Competition in San Francisco, California, April 5-9.

The following Dragons qualified for final competitions or were recognized in their respective events:

  • Daisy Hubred and Aubrey Harvala – Business Ethics finalists

  • Isimbi Minani and Estefania Romero – Starting a Business finalists

  • Cian Logan and Jackson Reishus – Starting a Business finalists

  • Nora Simondet and Joseph Mugisha – International Marketing finalists

  • Christian Johnson and Kobey Block – Financial Statement Analysis finalists

  • Kobey Block – Entrepreneurship Operations top exam performer and finalist

  • Anna Egeland – Entrepreneurship Operations top exam performer, top case study performer, finalist

  • Christian Johnson – Financial Accounting top exam performer

  • Sophia Smith – Retail Management top case study performer and finalist

Four Dragons were recognized on stage after competing in the finals:

  • Sophia Smith – Retail Management
  • Kobey Block and Christian Johnson – Financial Statement Analysis
  • Anna Egeland – Entrepreneurship Operations
  • Anna Egeland won “DECA Glass” for MSUM by placing second internationally in Entrepreneurship Operations.
