Keri DeSutter to serve on statewide education committee

Keri DeSutter, Professor of Special Education in the School of Teaching and Learning, has been identified to serve on a statewide education committee supporting educator pipeline initiatives. Minnesota P-20 Education Partnership (MNP20) has partnered with Minnesota’s Interagency Workforce Alignment (IWA) Taskforce and the Governor’s Workforce Development Board (GWDB) to create an Education Committee focused on aligning efforts to support educator pipeline initiatives throughout the state. The charge of the committee will be to:

Identify and recommend strategies for strengthening alignment between educator workforce efforts across the state
Identify and recommend metrics to be used in determining successful emerging practices and programs to accelerate and scale
Identify and recommend strategies to increase communication:
A. To students and families about educator workforce initiatives, funding, and programs
B. To and between relevant organizations about educator workforce initiatives, funding, and programs.

The committee begins its work on April 30th.
