Listening session media coverage
Minnesota State and community leaders, faculty and students were on campus yesterday to hear the priorities, concerns, and thoughts of key constituents. The insights shared during these sessions will inform the fiscal year 2026-2027 biennial budget request that the Board of Trustees will submit to the state in November 2024.
Dominating the conversation were themes around affordability, student support and wrap around services, support for the state’s facilities, workforce development, and lifting up the state of Minnesota in messaging.
MSUM was the sixth of nine listening sessions scheduled around the state between Sept. 11 and Oct. 1.
