Gooding and Gooding Publish Peer-reviewed Article
Dr. Erik Gooding of the Anthropology Program and MSUM student Lily Gooding had their article “A Divided Tribe is a Colonized Tribe”: A Re-examining of Meskwaki Patrilineal Tribal Membership (Pre-1937) was accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed journal “Proceedings of the 55th Algonquian Conference.” Their research focused on historic and ongoing tribal enrollment issues centering on the 1937 Meskwaki tribal constitution and the resulting cultural impacts.
