Dr. Caitlin Johnson, Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership, co-authors an article in the English Journal titled, Teaching with Indigenous YA Boarding School Texts: Unsilencing Indigenous Voices. The authors argue for the teaching of Indigenous boarding school texts as part of a broader call for decolonizing pedagogies and disrupting whitestream definitions of literature as a path to unsilencing Indigenous perspectives. The article is peer reviewed and open access. It can be found here: Teaching with Indigenous YA Boarding School Texts: Unsilencing Indigenous Voices | ncte.org (publicationsncte.org)
