‘My Father’s World’ opens Nov. 28 at Rourke Art Museum

The Rourke Art Museum is presenting “My Father’s World,” an exhibit of the original prints of Kansas Swedish-American landscape artist Birger Sandzén. The exhibit of works is from the collection of Dr. James M. Kaplan, Professor Emeritus of French at MSUM, and is under the high patronage of his Excellency  Jonas Hafström, Royal Ambassador of Sweden to the United States.

On Sunday Nov. 28 at 1:30 P.M., the Swedish Cultural Heritage Society of the Red River Valley is hosting the opening of the exhibit. Kaplan will read from his new book Birger Sandzen on Art, Music and Transcendence. Signed copies will be available for purchase. The museum is located at 521 Main Ave in Moorhead. The event is free and open to the public.
