Application Deadline Extended for the Dragon Media Group
The application deadline for the Marcil Center for Innovative Journalism’s Dragon Media Group has been extended until Friday, April 30th.
The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead and Minnesota State University Moorhead are looking for as many as five students to participate in a project-based internship in Fall 2021.
The ideal candidates will be smart, positive and eager to work as a team to produce and publish a series or project in topic areas of interest to the Forum’s readers. The right candidates embrace creative multimedia storytelling and are eager to produce engaging enterprise work for a diverse audience. Students selected for the Dragon Media Group will also receive a stipend for the time that they put into the project.
The candidates should have an interest in one or more of the following: journalism, multimedia, marketing, videography, public relations, revenue, design and social media.
As a part of this internship, students will learn the following:
- In-depth reporting.
- Basic knowledge of video and photo editing.
- Project management.
- Infogram/graphic design.
- How to conduct a basic marketing campaign.
- How to use social media for professional purposes.
- Podcast creation/audio storytelling.
- How to use digital analytics tools such as Chartbeat, CrowdTangle and Google Analytics.
