MSUM Selects Two for $2,000 L.B. Hartz Academic Achievement Scholarships
Two Minnesota State University Moorhead business administration majors, Abigail Olson and Katelyn Herfindahl, are winners of this year’s L.B. Hartz Academic Achievement Scholarships.
The L.B. Hartz Foundation awards two $2,000 Academic Achievement Scholarships to business administration, finance, management or marketing majors at MSUM for his/her senior year. The scholarships are given to reward academic accomplishments, service to the University and community and work experience.
The scholarship, named in honor of the late L.B. Hartz, founder of Hartz Wholesale Company headquartered in Thief River Falls, is administered through the L.B. Hartz Academic Achievement Scholarship Committee of the School of Business.
Abigail Olson is a 2014 graduate of Morris Area High School. She is a business administration major with an emphasis in finance. She anticipates graduating from MSUM in May 2018. She is the daughter of John Olson and Angela and Matt Solemsaas.
Katelyn Herfindahl is a 2014 graduate of Barnesville High School. She is pursuing a major in business administration with an emphasis in management. She expects to graduate from MSUM in December 2017. She is the daughter of Craig and Sharon Herfindahl.
