CenturyLink Launches Community Art Contest
Contest open to Fargo-Moorhead residents until noon Sept. 23
CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) launched a technology-inspired art contest to wrap up to seven of its utility boxes. The CenturyLink Moorhead Box Art contest is open to residents of all ages and students in Fargo-Moorhead. Submissions will be accepted until noon Sept. 23.
“We look forward to offering this opportunity to our citizens and receiving art submissions from the community,” said Julie Darrington, CenturyLink’s vice president of operations for North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and southwest Iowa. “Technology-inspired artwork is a perfect fit for the CenturyLink utility boxes which provide high-speed internet and voice services to homes and businesses in Moorhead.”
Moorhead’s Mayor Del Rae Williams noted: “Public art enhances sense of place and quality of life. CenturyLink’s Moorhead Box Art contest will not only feature our local artists, it will contribute to Moorhead’s beauty in everyday life.”
A panel of CenturyLink and community leaders will select the winning submissions. Winning submissions will receive $250 each, and the artwork will be displayed on a CenturyLink-owned utility box for several years (one winner per utility box).
