Dean of Online and Extended Learning Campus Interviews
Two finalists for the Dean of Online and Extended Learning have been invited to campus for interviews.
The first finalist, Dr. Michael Penrod, will be on campus April 13 and 14. Dr. Penrod’s Open Forum will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 12:15 p.m. in Center for Business 111. All members of the campus community are invited to the open forum.
Dr. Michael Penrod is currently the Director of Online/Distance learning at St. Cloud State University. He has held the position since 2009. In his position, Dr. Penrod directs the institution’s online academic program by supporting faculty in the development and delivery of online programs (including course design, training, remote access, assessment, technology, and student support). Dr. Penrod served as the Outreach Coordinator for Distance Learning and the Outreach Program Administrator/Homeland Security Program Coordinator for Central Missouri State University from 2002-2008. He has also served in positions at Eastern Washington University and served in the Army National Guard from 1974-1990. Dr. Penrod earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Studies and an MA in American History from Kansas State University, a Master’s in Public Administration from Eastern Washington University, and a BA in American History from Kansas State University.
The second finalist, Dr. Leslie Balsiger, will be on campus on April 18 and 19. His interview schedule will be finalized early next week.
