Workers Unite! Special Tickets to attend SPA’s production of Working – opens April 13
April 13 – 16 | 7:30 p.m. | Gaede Stage
The School of Performing Arts celebrates the workers of MSUM’s Collective Bargaining Units with its presentation of the musical Working. The show opens April 13 and runs through Saturday on the Gaede Stage in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts. All shows start at 7:30 p.m.
Based on Studs Terkel’s best-selling book of interviews with American workers, Working paints a vivid portrait of the men and women the world so often takes for granted: the schoolteacher, the phone operator, the waitress, the millworker, the mason, and the housewife, and many others from a variety of occupations. Nominated for six Tony Awards, this classic musical has been updated for a modern age with new songs by Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, and James Taylor.
In keeping with the spirit of the show, tickets will be available to all members of MSUM’s collective bargaining units for just $5. Join us in celebrating the American worker. Please note that the production contains adult language.
Tickets are available at www.mnstate.edu/tickets, or by calling the MSUM Box Office at (218) 477-2271 M-F from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are also available at the door before the performance.
