Sigma-Sigma chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity congratulates spring graduates
The Sigma-Sigma chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity would like to congratulate the spring graduates of the Class of 2015 on their achievement. Three brothers of Kappa Sigma will earn the honor and privilege of transitioning to Alumni this semester.
Jared Fischer
Brother Fischer will be graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead with Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Leadership Studies. After graduation he will continue to work at Radio FM media (Q105.1 Rocks) until he finds a full time job in radio. During his time at MSUM, Jared was the Treasurer for Communicators in Action (CIA) during his junior year, he has held an internship with Radio FM Media, and he has also held the positions of Ritual Guard and Social Media & Advertising chairman for Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Brother Fischer also has the distinction of being a Founding Father of the Sigma-Sigma chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at MSUM.
Nicholas Walters
Brother Walters will be graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead with Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Film Production, he is also a member of the Dragon Leadership Program. He currently works for WDAY 6 TV Fargo and he will be staying in the Fargo/Moorhead area for at least one year after graduation. During his time at MSUM, Nicholas, has worked as a Homecoming Coordinator, Facilitator for the Emerging Leaders program, member of the Dragon Athletics GO! TEAM, Student Orientation Counselor (SOC) for the office of First Year Programs, and he has also held the positions of Ritual Guard and Rush & Recruitment chairman for Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Brother Walters also has the distinction of being a Founding Father of the Sigma-Sigma chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at MSUM.
Cody Meyer
Brother Meyer will be graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead with Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Political Science and has been admitted into the Pre-Law program at MSUM. During his time with Kappa Sigma, Cody had the distinction of serving as a Founding Father and Inaugural Grand Master (President) of the Sigma-Sigma chapter. Outside of Kappa Sigma, he was involved in the Tae Kwon Do club, Veterans Club, and the FM Salsa Club. Alongside Amanda Olson, he was responsible for the re-boot of Nemzek Noize. Throughout the Summer of 2014, he worked with 200 other student body presidents on the “It’s On Us” campaign with members of the Obama Administration. During this academic year, Cody served as the Student Body President for MSUM, and sat on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota State University Student Association. Cody is currently interviewing for two management positions, and in August he will be serving as the Vice Secretary General at the Sofia Model United Nations Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria. Next spring Cody will be deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 461st Vertical Engineer Company of the United States Army.
