Honors Program students traveled to Soudan Underground Mine
Students from the Honors Program traveled to the Soudan Underground Mine in northeast Minnesota this past weekend for their Spring Trip. They took the cage elevator down half a mile underground and rode the rails through the mine. They also found 75 million year old fossils at the nearby Hill Annex Mine. The trip was led by Program Director Lisa Nawrot and expert guidance was provided by Geology Professor Russ Colson.
