Summer Faculty Development Opportunities
Tech Talk Tuesdays
Come by for coffee and a chance to chat with several of our amazing instructional technology staff! Get to know them and how they can help you, how you find out about the educational technology supported by MSUM, and what to do if you have suggestions and requests for other technologies, especially collaborative technologies, for online, face-to-face, and hybrid courses. Tuesdays from 9:00-10:00 am in the Faculty Development Center: July 15th, 22nd, and 29th.
Join a summer ROLE group!
Find out what 35+ faculty and staff talked about last April in the ROLE (Rethinking Our Learning Environments) groups. These seven groups each met several times to discuss ways of making incremental changes in their courses to become more student-centered and allow students to take greater responsibility for their own learning. If you missed us last spring, here is another chance to join us for three Tuesdays from 10:00-11:00 am in the Faculty Development Center: July 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Additional groups will be formed in the fall.
Interpreting your Course Evaluations
Whether you rip open your course evaluations envelope as soon as you receive it, or you toss it on a growing pile in your office to look at when the mood is right, recognize that there is a goldmine of information in those packets. Come to this session for tips on how best to use this information when planning your fall courses. Repeated sessions offered on the following Tuesdays from 11:00 am-12:00 pm: July 15th, 22nd, and 29th in the Faculty Development Center.
